TBS stores in France have opted for a new IT solution for POS management and till functions.

With 39 stores in France, TBS is celebrating this year its 40th anniversary with all lovers of sailing, tennis, sports and outdoor activities; the brand has been able to retain its fans over the long term, thanks to the quality and timeless nature of its clothing and footwear collections, which it revisits every season; the historical partnerships TBS has developed with the biggest names in sailing and famous skippers has also built its reputation.

The brand recently deployed a new POS IT solution to modernise and streamline processes and homogenise management and till operations in all its French shops and stores.

The Liberty integrated management software package – developed by PRIOS – was selected by TBS, jointly with AURES Technologies for the hardware equipment (POS systems ); the latter includes the YUNO point of sale terminals, the ODP 333 coordinated ticket printers and the associated cash drawers.

“This migration to a new retail POS software platform has enabled us to optimize our multi-site management,” explains Pascal GUVENDI, Back Office Manager for TBS. “The ease of implementation of the new solution was a real plus, as well as the reliability of AURES touch systems, which were successfully tested upstream with PRIOS. Moreover, switching the entire TBS sales network simultaneously to the new Liberty ERP was not an easy challenge”.

“With the new platform and the AURES POS systems, exchanges between customers and TBS salesmen and cashiers are facilitated ; store supplies are also better managed, thanks to the centralized management of the IT solution  we have set up, which allows TBS management to have control over all the operational processes of all points of sale in real time,” explains Christian FAVIER, Director of Fashion Activities at PRIOS.

“We chose the YUNO terminals with Broadwell i5 processor for their technical performance, reliability and robustness,” he adds; “their ease of installation, use and maintenance also made the difference; YUNO’s contemporary and very compact design allows it to fit perfectly into TBS checkout furniture and to be in line with the layout and style of the shops; the possibility of animating the customer queue at the checkout, thanks to the addition of a 2nd screen on the back of the POS, is also an advantage for shops wishing to use digital signage at the till”.

“Beyond the design and proven performance of our hardware, the quality and proximity relationships we maintain with our partners and users are also important,” says Stéphane DELLAVALLE, sales manager in charge of the project at AURES Technologies.  “Our ability to listen has enabled us to best meet the needs of TBS and PRIOS, giving them the benefit of an optimized price-quality ratio”.
