Whilton Mill race track in Daventry was the venue once more for the AURES UK Team to host their annual karting event on Thursday 4th July. 20 teams took part in two endurance races driving the Sodi RT8 Pro-Karts on the 1200m International Circuit!
The race day line up started off at 9:30am with a bite to eat and a quick brew ready for everyone to register and get fitted up for their race suits. They then had a safety briefing and team allocation ahead of a few practice laps and grid positioning.
A special mention to Whilton Mill for such great hospitality and professionalism from their entire team. Last year the event went great but this year, complete with the brand-new purpose-built building which houses registration, collection of race suits and helmets etc and a wonderful new bar/café upstairs with a wraparound terrace that overlooks the entire track, it was difficult not to have a superb day. The transformation in the venue over the last 12 months is incredible!
